1930– Daramic established as Dewey & Almy Corporation, USA and develops rubber separator
1954– W.R. Grace & Co. acquires Dewey & Almy Corporation
1969/1972– Polyethylene (PE) separator is invented in Owensboro plant, KY, USA and this plant becomes the first location to manufacture PE separators in Daramic
1980/1981– Manufacturing established in Norderstedt, Germany and Selestat, France. Daramic starts operation footprint in Europe
1994– InterTech Group Acquires W.R. Grace battery separator business
1997– PIL and DAGA – Potenza, Italy is acquired
2000– Established footprint in Asia with opening of manufacturing plant in Prachinburi, Thailand
2004– Warburg Pincus acquires the Polypore Group from the InterTech Group
2006– Prachinburi, Thailand Line 2 & 3 is in operation
2006– Daramic expands into China by forming a joint venture
2007– Daramic acquires plant in Tianjin, China
2008– Bangalore, India plant is established through acquisition
2008– Prachinburi, Thailand Line 4 is in operation
2011– Xiangyang, China plant is established
2011– Daramic India relocated to a new and larger facility in Bangalore, India
2012– Line 5 at Prachinburi, Thailand is complete and operational
2015– Asahi Kasei acquires Polypore International, LP, the parent company to Daramic and affiliates
2017– Greenfield plant in Gujarat, India is complete and operational
